Our first market!
So we did our first market today, i have to admit my stress level was pretty extreme at 7 am. By 8 am it was at epic levels and by 9 am i was fine. We had loads of people show up to support us and we sold out completely! Thank you to everyone that came out, you made me feel the love! Even though i woke up with a terrible cold this morning everyone made it so much better. Also without the help of my wonderful assistant Erin i would have been in the weeds all day. So Erin, i'm not sure if you read this, but man are you ever awesome!

So many peppers.
Shot of the garden.
This row of beans is a little spotty, but they're still sprouting so we'll see.
For all of you waiting on mustard, we're getting close. Just waiting for the seed pods to dry up and it'll be time to cut it down and dry out the plant and start making mustard.
We finished hauling away all the brush, now we just have to start digging.
Another shot.
I hope you enjoyed my picture update.

My silent 2 weeks is over.
I apologize for my lack of posting for the past two weeks, since i was put on light duty from my doctor there hasn't really been all that much going on until yesterday. I tried my best to figure out what light duty was and failed miserably at it, so I've had a few days of pain but nothing that is all that major. Things have been moving along fairly well; things are growing and blooming and land is starting to be cleared for next year. So here are some pictures I've been taking over the past week. There has been large amounts of growth since some of these pictures were taken. The misty rain today was preventing me from taking nice pictures today, i will try to take some tomorrow.
Poblano peppers
Peppers
Tomatoes. We have a fairly large amount of unripe tomatoes; unfortunately the weather has been really all over the place. Which has caused a fairly large splitting problem and blossom rot due to all the rain and the cold nights. Hopefully the next round that is starting will be a bit better.
The squash is doing really well, i'm assuming that we will start seeing little baby squash soon.
My poor crazy looking tomatillo's. They're actually doing really well and starting to fill out now.
The corn has about doubled in size since i took this picture.
Some young lettuce, we finally have enough stuff to go to market with this weekend.
Picture of two of my dogs for good measure.
So this is the land we're starting to clear for next year. Luckily there aren't too many trees, but enough to make hauling them away time consuming.
First part down! We started this yesterday morning.
You can see my neighbor back in there chopping them down.
Yup, that's some trees.
All the trees have been cut down and we should be finished cleaning it up by tomorrow. In about two weeks we will have the ground ripped up and we'll start tilling and seeding mustard. I am planting mustard to use as a green manure.
I've very excited about this expansion. It puts my farm at about 3.5 acres, with another 1.5 acres to prep next summer.
Well that's it for now, i will update with more pictures tomorrow.
